TarporleyNo7 is fortunate to be located close to some of the best walking in Cheshire. These are the forgotten lands, at the back of beyond. Rural unspoilt, sparsely populated and eternally peaceful, they await discovery.
There are many walks which can be enjoyed in the area and here are a small selection of the most well known close to our self catering accommodation. Details and maps are available in the cottage and we can often give advice although we can't promise to have walked them all.

| | Delamere Forest Covering an area of 972 hectares (2,410 acres), Delamere Forest is Cheshire's largest area of woodland. The peaceful forest has many trails that showcase the wonderful nature and diverse wildlife. Delamere means 'forest of the lakes' – there are lots of small lakes dotted amongst the trees. The forest was established in the 11th century as a hunting forest and in 1924 was given to the Forestry Commission
Delamere is a very popular spot with multi use paths & access roads to provide easier access for everyone. As for cycling, there are a couple of very tame wide 'crush & run' limestone chip affairs, ideal for families, super boring for off-road enthusiast but fear not there a a myriad of unofficial trails littered throughout the forest plus there's also an official 'Skills' area near the Manley area of the Forest.
